Personal Information Collected on this Website
No personally-identifiable information is collected on this website from site visitors that browse the website for information.
The only personally-identifiable information collected on this website is gathered on the “Contact” page, and blog comment sections, where fields are provided so that you can provide your name and email address. The information gathered from the “Contact” page is collected so that I can respond to the comments that you send via the contact form. The information gathered from any blog comment that you may enter on the site is simply incidental to the fact that a name and email address is required to make a comment—the information you enter is not collected so it cannot be “used” for any purpose.
I, Robert Thomas, am the sole owner of all personally-identifiable information collected on this site. I will not rent, sell, or share any personally-identifiable information about you with third parties for any reason except when required to assist in resolving an issue you raise with me or as required by law.
Anonymous Information Collected on this Website
I record anonymous data such as traffic logs, number of visits or clicks on a given page, pages viewed or links to my site. I use IP addresses and cookies for gathering website statistics. I also store IP addresses on our server in the event that our site should become corrupted and it becomes necessary to discover the cause of this corruption.
I aggregate this anonymous data as part of managing, maintaining and reporting on use of the website. I may share this anonymous data with third parties for the limited purpose of reporting on use of our website, or to comply with applicable law. I do not rent or sell any anonymous data collected on this website with third parties for marketing purposes.
None of this anonymous data is linked to personally-identifiable information and I make no attempt to link IP addresses to the individuals who visit this site.
Cookies are small chunks of data created by a web server, delivered through a web browser, and stored on your computer. They provide a means for websites that you visit to keep track of your online patterns and preferences, as well as identify you as a return visitor. Cookies make the personalization of your web experiences possible, so that you do not need to re-enter your information from scratch upon each visit to a given website.
No personally-identifiable information is collected by or linked to any of the cookies delivered on our site.
I may place Google AdSense advertisements on this site. These advertisements will be from third-party vendors and advertisement networks. If you click a link and it takes you to an external site then odds are I will get a commission if you make a purchase. This is the business model of this for profit blog where I am sharing my time and experiences with you in exchange for you supporting the blog by purchasing using the links I’ve provided.

Google Advertising Cookie and Privacy Policies
What is the DoubleClick cookie?
The DoubleClick cookie is used by Google in the ads served on the websites of its partners, such as websites displaying AdSense ads or participating in Google certified ad networks. When users visit a partner’s website and either view or click on an ad, a cookie may be dropped on that end user’s browser. The data gathered from these cookies will be used to help better serve and manage ads on the publisher’s site(s) and across the web.
- Google’s use of the DoubleClick cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to this site’s visitors based on their visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
Because I have not opted out of third-party advertisement serving, the cookies of other third-party vendors or ad networks may also be used to serve ads on this site. Please click HERE for more information regarding the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.
Google Analytics and Google Display Advertising
Google Analytics is used on this site. For additional information regarding Google Analytics, please click HERE.
To comply with Google’s Display Advertising policy requirements, I agree to not facilitate the merging of personally-identifiable information with non-personally identifiable information previously collected from Display Advertising features that is based on the DoubleClick cookie unless I have robust notice of, and the user’s prior affirmative (i.e., opt-in) consent to, that merger.
At any point in time, some or all of the following Google Analytics features may be implemented on this website: Remarketing, Google Display Network Impression Reporting, the DoubleClick Campaign Manager integration, Google Analytics Demographics, and Interest Reporting.
Users can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads by using Google’s Ads Settings page.
To prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics, users can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
By implementing Google’s Remarketing features with Google Analytics, I agree to comply with all policy requirements set forth in the Google AdWords Interest-Based Advertising Policy and its sensitive category restrictions.
Because I may at any time implement Remarketing with Google Analytics to advertise online, visitors to this site should know the following:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, may show my ads on sites across the Internet.
- Third-party vendors and I, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to inform, optimize, and serve ads based on someone’s past visits to this site.
Because I may at any time implement Google Display Network Impression Reporting and/or the DoubleClick Campaign Manager integration, visitors to this site should know the following:
- Third-party vendors and I, including Google, use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to report how my ad impressions, other uses of ad services, and interactions with these ad impressions and ad services are related to visits to this site.
Because I may at any time implement Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting, visitors to this site should know the following:
- I plan to use data from Google’s Interest-based advertising or 3rd-party audience data (such as age, gender, and interests) with Google Analytics to better understand my website’s audience, and to write articles and/or display ads that will be of interest to visitors of my website.
